Outstanding wedding photojournalism for the East Coast • (717) 395-3850 for a consultation

Couples often ask what criteria I will use when hiring a photographer for my wedding. Here is what I tell them:

Portfolio - do you enjoy looking at the photographer's work? Do you like their creative eye and style?

Personality - How do you and your photographer relate? Do you have good 'chemistry'? Do they listen to your ideas and make helpful suggestions? Are they flexible in addressing your needs?

Price - Is the photographer within your budget?

    Do you offer wedding albums?

I offer two types of albums: traditional Florentina wedding albums and custom coffeetable books. For more information, see the Album Information page.

We have a special idea to take some photographs at _____ location. Can you do that?

Of course! I have photographed from the tops of buildings, in moving cars, in dance clubs (in that case, where the couple first met), on the National Mall or knee-deep in a river flanked by cows on both banks (in that case, however, I promise you that the couple did not first meet there!).

What reprint and enlargement services do you offer?

Professional reprints and enlargements are available through the preview gallery, and all images come in your choice of color, B/W or sepia tone. All prints are delivered unframed. Prices are $32 per 11x14 print, $20 per 8x10 print, $10 per 5x7 print and $5 per 4x6 print. Please note that the Premier and Exclusive collections include a credit for enlargements. Additional credits can be included in the package at a discount from the above prices. Handtoning is available upon request.

    What about destination weddings?

Yes - I am available for travel in the United States as well as in Canada and in the Caribbean. Nominal fees apply for travel. Contact me for more information.

    Consultations & Booking

Should I have a consultation before booking?

I encourage my clients to meet with me before booking. This provides a good opportunity for you to see more of my work and discuss any questions that you may have. Consultations are informal and we can meet at a location convenient to you. Feel free to bring a friend or a family member - the more, the merrier!

    What is your retainer?

I required a retainer of $500 to book the date for your event. Every client of mine enjoys my full attention for their wedding day, so I never double-book a day.

    Other Questions

Do you photograph all of your weddings yourself?

Yes. Every wedding receives my personal attention. I do not send 'associate' photographers in my place.

Other than photography, what other tidbits of your life can you tell us?

Good question. Well, my two favorite foods are mangoes and any kind of Ben & Jerry's ice cream. When I'm not shooting weddings or teaching technical lessons to other photographers or doing studio work, I enjoy reading and doing anything in the great outdoors, from hiking and cycling to surfing and landscape photography. I grew up in Canada and I have traveled to China, Cuba, Egypt, Jordan, Israel and the Palestinian Territories. I speak some Spanish and French, I love animals and enjoy saying hello to all of the dogs at my neighborhood park.

Look forward to hearing from you!
